Learn the techniques used in global automotive design studios.
Clay modelling has played an essential role in automotive design for almost a century. Clay is a malleable material that can be easily shaped enabling designers to create models. Its purpose is to visualise form, and to rapidly communicate shape and surface in real time. Clay is extremely easy to change, by simply adding or removing. In summary, this is three-dimensional brainstorming.
Our two-day workshop is an introduction to clay modelling. Our instructors have a combined 40 years’ experience in Automotive Design studios from around the world. In this two-day workshop you will learn more than the technical aspect of how to use clay. You will become comfortable with creating shape without restriction, allowing infinite flexibility in design.
