Body Hammers are drop forged from high carbon steel, heat treated, quenched and have tempered heads. They have a burnt lacquer finish, Grade B (or better), and Hickory wooden handles or cushion grip fiberglass handles. The hammer was one of the basic hand tools around which the body and fender repair trade was developed. Dinging hammers are for fender and high-crowned panel dinging or bumping. They have both high and low-crown faces for “on or off dolly” work. Faces, 1 ¼” and 1 9/16”. Round heads, 6” overall.
